Supercharged Growth in the Cannabis industry

 

Research on marijuana shows that its market has continued to grow rapidly over the years. In 2017 alone, marijuana sales hit a hooping $9.7 billion in sales only across the United States. This was a 33% increase from the predicted sales in the previous year. These statistics are expected to remain on the rise with analysts foretelling a market worth of close to $25 million in sales by the year 2021. Some states have accepted and legalized the use of marijuana for medicinal and recreational purposes. Plans are underway for the state of Canada making marijuana legal for both recreational and medicinal purposes. The wave has now spread to the Eastern states of the United States. Recent research shows that the population of America that supports legalization of marijuana has doubled compared to those who gave it the node in 2000. Sixty percent of Americans advocate for the legalization of marijuana. This, however, does not mean it all well marijuana. Research centers and institutions continue to publish content and information that does not spell well for the marijuana industry. Recent content links some of the violent and aggressive behavior in youths to use of marijuana. This may influence to some extent the stand of the federal government on legalizing marijuana.
